David is an accountant with a strong commercial background in industry and commerce. He has board level and general management experience and a proven track record in large commercial organisations which he has successfully transferred to the SME sector.

He has been working as a freelance interim manager and business consultant for the past nine years, during which time he has held a number of part time interim financial director roles. He has been closely involved in a number of business sales and disposals, and has extensive experience of both pre sale business planning and post-acquisition management and integration. David’s assignments have included both intensive turnaround projects and the financial management of business’s experience high and rapid growth.

He has worked across a number of business sectors, with particular emphasis on Facilities Management where the combination of his service sector experience and knowledge of the construction industry gives him an invaluable insight into the overall facilities management market place.

Prior to becoming a freelance Interim Manager/ Business Consultant, David had spent his entire career working in large corporate organisations. Shortly after leaving school he joined Shell UK, where he undertook his accountancy training. After four years he left to pursue a career overseas with Costain Construction and was resident in the United Arab Emirates for three years. He then spent three years with ITM Corporation, an international trading and construction group travelling extensively to Africa and the Middle East.

He then joined OCS Group, one of the UK’s leading facilities management companies, where he gained experience of a number of operating companies as well as the group head office. This culminated in six years board level experience with three diverse operating companies with a combined turnover of £40m. Following the successful implementation of a blueprint shared service centre for the group, David moved on to pursue a career in the SME sector.

General Background


David was born and grew up in Waterloo, London. He attended Strand Grammar School in Brixton, and has lived in Bexley for a number of years. His hobbies include overseas travel, theatre and cinema, and is a keen follower of current political and economic affairs. He is a season ticket holder at Arsenal FC and a member of Surrey County Cricket Club. He has previously been involved in local charity work and has served as a trustee of a national charity.
